Generally, pleural sarcomas have a poor prognosis because it's difficult to operate on, hence remove the tumor, which is the mainstay of all sarcoma treatment: remove the tumor first! Plus, the pleura is a very vascular organ -- it has lots of blood vessels -- so the cells can move to other places in the body easily via the blood system.
